909 Reston Scar

Wainwright couldn't do it, but now everyone can. At last Reston Scar and Hugill Fell, two of his outlying fells, are linked in one expedition. The key is kissing gates through unscaleable stone walls making this a perfect fell walk, right on Staveley's doorstep. If you are travelling via the M6 an easy climb and a gentle descent, followed by a visit to Wilfs Cafe makes an excellent introduction or farewell to the Lake District.
