654 Oxenholme

From the Iron Age hillfort on the summit of The Helm, the houses of Kendal look close enough to lob a spear down one of the chimneys. But though Oxenholme, the place where oxen came to drink, grew when the railway arrived, there's more than just a station. This ridge walk will delight anyone with time to spare.
