590 Marton and Foxwist Green

Marton means farmstead by the pool, but the inhabitants of Marton Green had a nasty surprise in 1870 when a huge chasm appeared overnight. Caused by brine extraction Marton Hole is now a quiet backwater and the only excitement is the arrival of fishermen or the occasional walker.
