251 Gibbet Moor

When youíve got people coming, most folk just tidy up a bit, but at Chatsworth the 6th Duke built the second highest fountain in Europe. After all it takes something special to impress the Tsar of Russia. Hidden near the Elizabethan Hunting Tower you will find the lakes, waterfalls and aqueducts which supply the 290ft jet, while high on the lonely Gibbet Moor rises the Emperor Stream. Alas the Tsar never came, but the fountain is still there to delight Chatsworth's modern day visitors.
