205 Hilbre Island

Crossing to Hilbre Island is like Moses leading the Israelites over the divided waters of the Red Sea. Striding across the vast sands of the Dee Estuary is an awe-inspiring experience and arriving on the tidal island, with its spectacular red sandstone cliffs, shell beaches, marine wildflowers and numerous seabirds, you are in another world. Best of all are the grey seals. But donít, like the pursuing Egyptians, get caught by the incoming tide.
